Following his win in the ePremier League earlier this year, Manchester City’s Tekkz secured a coveted spot in the FC Pro World Championship alongside teammate, Matias Bonanno.

Considered by many as one of the greatest players to ever compete in an EA SPORTS FC tournament, Tekkz has made a career for himself by defying the odds and defeating top talent on the biggest stages possible.

Now that he’s earned his opportunity to fight for a World Championship, it’s safe to say that the legendary Brit is ready to battle the best the competition has to offer.

“Yeah, I really am looking forward to it. I think my favourite thing about winning the ePremier League is that I get to compete in the FC Pro 24 World Championship,” said Tekkz.

“It’s the biggest tournament of the year and it’s the competition that everyone wants to win.”

Having competed in England three times this year (FC Pro Open, ePremier League and eChampions League) the FC Pro World Championship will take Tekkz away from home soil as he makes his way to the UberEats Music Hall in Berlin, Germany.

Some players might struggle with the pressure that comes with competing abroad, Tekkz seems to be taking the challenge in his stride.

“It’s nice to go abroad and compete somewhere that isn’t in England. It gets the juices flowing and puts you more in the zone. It makes it feel as if more is at stake, compared to competing in London where I just take the train down.”
