FC Pro competition is back! The FC Pro 27 season kicks off on September 21, and gives EA SPORTS FC 27 players an open pathway to battle towards a spot at the FC Pro World Championship with a $2,500,000 USD prize pool across the entire season.

The journey starts online on September 21st, with the FC Pro Open Ladder in Ultimate Team. From there, 1376 competitors will advance to the Regional Qualifiers, 52 will earn places alongside 12 invited players at the Global Qualifier in London, and 16 will advance to join eight of last season’s top players in the FC Pro Open. By the end of FC Pro Open, eight players will have secured their places at the FC Pro World Championship.

Across the season, players can also qualify through FC Pro Open Cups, FC Pro Leagues, Licensed Events, and the World Championship Last Chance Qualifier as they compete for the opportunity to participate in the season finale FC Pro World Championship.

Path to FC Pro Open

To kick off the season, FC Pro Open offers aspiring players the ultimate pathway to pro; compete from home, fight to reach the global stage, and contend with some of the world’s most established FC Pro talent.

FC Pro Open Ladder

Date: September 21 - October 3, 2026

Building on the launch of the in-game Esports Live Game Mode last year, the FC Pro Open Ladder will once again be hosted within EA SPORTS FC 27 Ultimate Team. The entire ladder will be held in-game, meaning there is no need to register on any external website; just start up your game and compete! Players who reach Division 5 or above in Division Rivals during the Ladder will be able to access the mode via the FC Pro tab in the Ultimate Team Play Menu.

Here, you’ll compete against the best of the best to earn onward qualification to FC Pro competition and exclusive cosmetics to celebrate your accomplishments. Please note that only PlayStation 5 competitors will be eligible to advance to the FC Pro Open Regional Qualifiers. Both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S competitors will be eligible for in-game rewards.

The Ladder will remain open 24 hours a day throughout the 13-day competition window. Every competitor begins unranked and gains or loses skill rating based on their results and the relative rating of their opponents. Qualification is determined by each competitor’s highest peak skill rating achieved at any point during the ladder window.

At the end of the Ladder, 1,376 PlayStation 5 competitors across ten regions will advance to the FC Pro Open Regional Qualifiers. The top 500 competitors in each region will also earn an FC Pro Open in-game reward, recognising their performance during the opening stage of the FC Pro 27 season.

FC Pro Open Regional Qualifiers

Date: October 10 - October 11, 2026

The 1,376 competitors who advance from the FC Pro Open Ladder will next compete online in their respective Regional Qualifier, with 52 spots at the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier up for grabs.

Each Regional Qualifier will take place across two days and will be hosted on Battlefy. Day 1 will feature a Swiss-format stage, with the top-performing competitors advancing to a double-elimination bracket on Day 2. From there, each region’s highest finishers will secure their place at the Global Qualifier and take the next step on the road to the FC Pro Open.

The 52 Global Qualifier places will be allocated across the ten regions as follows:

FC Pro Open Global Qualifier

Date: November 5 - 7, 2026

The FC Pro Open Global Qualifier brings together players who advanced from the Regional Qualifiers to face off in person against veterans of FC Pro. Returning to London, the event will feature 64 players competing for a place in the FC Pro Open.

The 5th - 16th finishers of last season’s FC Pro Open are directly invited to the Global Qualifier:

FC Pro Draft will also return for the Global Qualifier. Ahead of the event, each competitor will build and submit a squad within a defined set of restrictions, adding squad-building strategy to the challenge of performing on the global stage.

Competition begins with a five-round Swiss stage featuring all 64 competitors. The top 32 will advance to four eight-player double-elimination brackets, taking place across the final two days. The top four competitors from each bracket (16 in total) will earn their place in the FC Pro Open.

There will be no separate Last Chance Qualifier for the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier this season, making every stage of the open qualifiers count.

FC Pro Open

The grand stage is set as 24 players rise, having proven themselves worthy of the FC Pro Open. The FC Pro Open Live Event is the flagship mid-season global showcase, where players will compete to claim glory and secure their spots in the FC Pro World Championship 2027.

The top 4 players from last season’s FC Pro Open and FC Pro World Championship are directly invited to FC Pro Open:

The 16 players who qualified through the Global Qualifier will be drawn into four groups, joining the two of eight previously invited players in each group.

The competition begins with a double round-robin group stage, where every match is crucial as players battle to advance to the Finals. Each group will play each other once on each of the 2 matchdays. At the end of the group stage, 12 competitors will qualify for the single-elimination finals. In each group:

• 1st will move directly to the Top 8 and immediately earn a World Championship seat

• 2nd & 3rd will make it to FC Pro Open Finals

• 4th will be invited back to the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier next season

• 5th & 6th will need to start their journey from scratch next season

The FC Pro Open Finals is contested in a single-elimination bracket, where every match is win-or-go-home, and there is no room for error. The quarterfinalists will earn invitations to this season's World Championship.

Path to the FC Pro World Championship

As FC Pro 27 enters its latter half, the race to the FC Pro World Championship is on. Eight top FC Pro competitors have already secured their spots via the FC Pro Open Live Event —who will be the next 28 to join them?

FC Pro Open Cups

The FC Pro Open isn’t the only way to reach the World Championship. Each month from November to January, FC Pro Open Cups offer players an opportunity to earn valuable circuit points to try and qualify for the FC Pro World Championship Play-Ins.

Players sign up in-game, following the same process as the FC Pro Open Ladder, and compete in the ladder stage, the first phase of each FC Pro Open Cup. 

The Matchmaking Window of the November Open Cup Ladders will be open 24 hours a day. The daily playing window for the December & January Open Cup Ladders will be as follows:

Players who perform well in each region’s Ladder will move on to the respective Playoffs as follows:

In the Playoffs phase, players will compete in a two-day tournament. Day 1 consists of a Swiss stage, with the top-performing players advancing to a single-elimination bracket on Day 2. Top players of each region’s playoffs will receive Circuit Points.

At the conclusion of all three FC Pro Open Cups, the highest Open Cups Circuit Point earners in each Region qualify for the FC Pro World Championship Play-Ins:

FC Pro Leagues

We will continue to partner with some of the world's most prestigious football leagues to deliver FC Pro League competitions in FC Pro 27. Keep an eye on the FC Pro website for more information about our League partners for FC Pro 27 as they’re announced!

FC Pro Leagues may award places into the World Championship or Play-Ins, with seat counts detailed in Event Rules.

FC Pro World Championship Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ)

The LCQ features a minimum of 512 competitors, who will give their all to advance one step closer to the World Championship. Tournament and Registration information will be shared closer to the start of the competition.

FC Pro World Championship Play-Ins

64 players will qualify via FC Pro Open Cups, selected FC Pro leagues and the Last Chance Qualifier to compete in the Play-Ins, aiming to clinch one of the last spots in the World Championship.

The tournament features three stages: a Swiss stage that feeds into a double-elimination playoff stage, where the top players earn their spots at the World Championship, followed by a single-elimination survival round where players can secure the final World Championship spots.

FC Pro World Championship

The FC Pro World Championship is the pinnacle of the FC Pro 27 season. Thirty-six of the world’s best competitors will compete for the ultimate prize: the Diogo Jota FC Pro World Championship trophy. 

The top eight finishers from the FC Pro Open will be joined by competitors who qualify through selected FC Pro Leagues and the FC Pro World Championship Play-Ins, completing the field for the grand finale of the season. 

Following its successful introduction last season, the League Stage returns as the competition's opening phase. Competitors will be seeded into six pools based on the FC Pro World Rankings and will each play six matches, one against an opponent drawn from each pool. Every result will contribute to a single 36-player league table. 

The top 24 competitors will advance to the knockout stage. The top eight will earn direct passage to the Round of 16, while those finishing ninth through 24th will begin their knockout journey in the Round of 24. 

From there, every match is win-or-go-home in a single-elimination bracket, culminating in the Final and the crowning of the FC Pro 27 World Champion. 

FC Pro World Rankings

Players will earn FC Pro World Ranking Points by progressing through and competing in eligible FC Pro and Partner League competitions. Points will continue to be accumulated in line with previous FC Pro seasons.

FC Pro Draft

FC Pro Draft returns as the core squad-building mechanic utilised in FC Pro Open Global Qualifier, FC Pro Open Live Event, FC Pro World Championship, and various FC Pro League Events.

Players assemble their squads while staying within detailed restrictions shared ahead of each event. FC Pro Draft successfully integrates squad building into one of the key aspects of FC competitions. Players will be able to further showcase their creativity and in-depth knowledge of the game before the matches begin.

Prizing Overview

A massive $2,500,000 USD is on offer across the FC Pro 27 competition (excluding Partner League and Licensed Event prize pools), with a $1,000,000 USD prize pool at the season-ending FC Pro World Championship.
