SC Paderborn 07’s Jonny is having quite the breakout year as an elite EA SPORTS FC player. Having completed the domestic double in the WOW Virtual Bundesliga and crowned the eChampions League champion, the talented German has become a force to be reckoned with.
We’ve analysed his performances during the eChampions League and picked out three things that separated the 19-year-old from the rest of the competition this season.
Knockdown
It’s one thing to be a great FC player, but to be the best you have to be intelligent with your draft. Part of Jonny’s game plan was to create better scoring opportunities with knockdowns inside the box, which is why Golazo ICON Drogba and his Aerial Playstyle+ was such a good choice.
A cross is sent into the box, which Drogba wins despite having three defenders around him. His header is collected by UCL RTTF Jesus who is able to smash the ball into the back of the net with ease.

PlayStyle+ dominance
Speaking of Jonny getting the most out of Drogba and his effectiveness in the air, he was able to continue to maximise his Aerial Playstyle+ once again when he attacked a fantastic corner at the near post.
Drogba’s dominance when attacking the ball made him a must-have for every player competing in the eChampions League Finals, but Jonny was the best at using the Chelsea legend’s strengths to score important goals.

Creating space
Although the goal from Mbappe is fantastic, Jonny wouldn’t have been able to do it without drawing the defender away with a well-timed run.
The clip below shows that Mbappe is surrounded, but once Jonny hits L1 and gets his player to make a run in behind, the space for a wicked trivela shot opens up instantly.
A stunning goal from @SCP07_Jonny to draw himself level! 🔥#eChampionsLeague | #FCPro pic.twitter.com/EOjzZYMhTN
