This weekend’s KPN eDivisie Finals has the potential to be one of the most exciting competitions on the FC Pro calendar.

8 Eredivisie clubs will be represented in this illustrious competition, with each one of them setting their sights on winning the €50,000 prize pool and gaining entry into the eChampions League and FC Pro World Championships.

One player that has the potential to have an incredible run in the competition is FC Pro Open, winner PHzin. The Brazilian has taken the FC Pro world by storm ever since he made his move to Ajax in 2022.

You can watch PHzin compete at the KPN eDivisie Finals on Saturday, March 30th live on the EA SPORTS FC Pro YouTube and Twitch Channels. However, fans who want to get an insight into his game before he plays can check out our tutorial below:

Great goalkeeper movement

If you want to be an offensive threat on the same level as PHzin, then you need to have a solid defence as well. After all, you won’t want to be caught out if your attack doesn’t lead to a goal.

A lot of the time, PHzin’s goalkeeper is one of the last remaining defenders available to him if an opponent starts a counter-attack. This means he needs to ensure his goalkeeper movement is on point.

Part of that is anticipation and guessing where your opponent might shoot the ball. However, the real key to his ability to pull off miraculous saves in FC 24 is simply patience. He does a great job of putting his goalkeeper in positions that increase his chances of saving a shot, which means he doesn’t need to panic when he’s competing against someone on the level of Vejrgang.

Know when to pass

Speaking of patience, that also comes into play with this next tip as PHzin is a master when it comes to knowing when it’s necessary to make an extra pass.

Many players would’ve attempted a fake shot or even a ball roll in this scenario, especially when they’ve got Erling Haaland on the ball. However, PHzin has the game IQ to spot the extra run from Alexia Putellas which leads to a much easier goal.

Punish mistakes

Even though PHzin’s FC Pro Open Finals win against Vejrgang was epic, his 8-2 destruction of Emre Yilmaz in the semi-finals is arguably his best performance of the entire competition. Taking on the 2023 eChampions League winner seemed like a difficult task, but PHzin made the victory look as easy as playing against someone in the Weekend League.

What the Brazilian does incredibly well - especially in the win against Yilmaz - is make him pay for his mistakes. The intricate pass to TOTY Ona Batlle that takes Futureshock Alphonso Davies out of the game, combined with PHzin picking out ICON Ronaldo who was lurking behind three panicking defenders prove how sharp he is whenever there’s an opportunity to score.
