FC Pro World Championship LCQ & Play-Ins Preview
Everything you need to know about the FC Pro World Championship LCQ and Play-Ins
July 30

Before the excitement and intrigue of the FC Pro World Championship begins, there are still crucial elements that need to be confirmed. Over 550 players will be in contention to claim one of the final four places in the FC Pro World Championship Finals. First via the Last Chance Qualifiers and then the Play-ins.

Last Chance Qualifiers

For 512 FC Pro players, this is the last chance to make it to the biggest FC25 tournament of the year.

With the FC Pro World Championship fast approaching, we already know the 28 players who are confirmed their spot.

But before the action gets under way at the Esports World Cup, the Play-ins for the final four places still need to be decided.

48 players will compete to book their place in the World Championship bracket. Though we still need to find five more challengers. That is where the excitement of the Last Chance Qualifier comes into play.

Thousands of FC players from across the world registered to take part in the massive Last Chance Qualifier. With 512 players receiving an invitation to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to earn their spot into the Play-ins.

Amongst the hundreds of players are some well-known names within the FC Pro scene.

With names such as; Charif, RedLac, Marley, Msdoussary, Stokes, Ilian, KTzn, Ollelito, Diogo Mendes and Charanjot, joining over 500 other hopefuls. With only five places on the line, this will be an event like no other.

FC Pro World Championship Play-Ins

28 of the 32 players have already been confirmed for the FC Pro World Championship Finals. Leaving four more slots being played for in the Play-ins.

48 contenders, including the five promoted from the LCQ will compete in an all or nothing one day tournament.

Players have already been drawn into eight groups of six. They will play every other player in their respective groups once. After five games, the player who tops the group will be given a bye into the third play-off round.

The runner-up will get a bye into the second play-off round. Those in 3rd and 4th will start in the first play-off round. The bottom two from each group will be eliminated.

At the play-off stage, it’s single elimination. Only a win keeps you in the competition.

After this process, we’ll know who the four who will advance to the FC Pro World Championship.

The Play-ins have proven to be a valuable route to the World Championship, for players who have missed out on winning partner leagues or succeeding in FC Ladder events. Two of last year’s semi-finalists qualified via the Play-ins. Charif and Yuval exceeded expectations by making it that deep into the tournament. With Yuval making it to the Grand Final, where he was defeated by Vejrgang.

This indicates that elite level FC players can be found in the Play-ins environment. This year is no exception. With some of the world’s best making up the field. ManuBachoore, Mark11, PHzin, Umut, Alihanlion and Yuval, are just a handful that will be aiming for success.

The intensity of the Play-ins will take place on August 3rd 2025, mere days away from the Group and Knockout Stages on August 7-10.

Four triumphant players will get their chance to play for the world championship, while everyone else will go home.

Go big or go home - it's as simple as that!
