77,000 players entered the FC Pro Ladder, in which we found 43 of the world’s best players who qualified for the FC Pro Global Qualifier by being the best players in their region. They joined the 12 players who had already earned their place in the Swiss Stage of the Global Qualifier. As well as the eight pro players who earned their place in the FC Pro Open based on last season’s performances.
These players were joined by nine additional competitors who made it through the intense Last Chance Qualifier. An open bracket, 256 players tournament.
Once the Swiss Stage got under way, there were huge results and even bigger upsets. Some of the most notable figures in the FC Pro scene crashed out, failing to win three out of their five Swiss games. The likes of PHzin, AbuMakkah, Mark11 and many more were eliminated. The most eventful elimination occurred when MSDossary took on Emre Yilmaz in an instant classic, with the 2025 eChampions League winner, Emre Yilmaz, triumphing after pulling off a miraculous comeback.
Meanwhile, two players went 5-0 in the Swiss Stage. Both Stingray and GugaFerraz had flawless runs in order to make it to the Knockout Stage.
In the Knockout Stage the objective was simple for all 32 remaining players - win two before you lose two.
In the double elimination format there were twists and turns aplenty. But after a long day of play we had found the final 16 entrants to the FC Pro Open.
The qualified players drew their groups and began to look forward to the FC Pro Open in London.
